Pop rivet gun is a tool used to install pop rivets, which are a type of fastener that creates a strong, permanent mechanical joint in materials, particularly when access to only one side of the workpiece is available. The gun works by pulling on the rivet’s mandrel (a small rod inside the rivet) causing the rivet body to expand and clamp the materials together, then snapping off the mandrel.
