Hikvision DS-2CE16C0T-IRP is a decent CCTV camera with HD video resolution. The camera is available in three variations, including a fixed 2.8mm lens, 3.6mm lens, and 6mm lens.  

As an analog HD technology, the security camera can only work with a DVR recorder- not NVR. The camera supports both PAL and NTSC, meaning you can attach to a DVR with either video signals or both. 

Hikvision 720p HD analog CCTV camera has an IP66-rated construction, with an operating temperature of -40 °F – 140 °F. You can mount indoors or outdoors without having to worry about dust or rain damage.

  • Built for All Weather Conditions 

The Hikvision CCTV camera has a robust build, in a bullet design. Part of the build also includes IP66 ingress protection. Thus, you can mount the camera outside in the open without water or dust damaging it. 

  • Decent Video Quality 

The video surveillance camera has a 1MP image sensor that captures pictures in 720p HD. 720p HD is about half of the clarity you get with the Hikvision 1080p FHD camera. But it’s still good enough for the general-purpose monitoring. 

In fact, the CCTV camera records in the 720p HD at up to 30fps, which produces very smooth videos. You’ll be able to track every step of the object or person in motion, unlike the cameras at 7fps or 15fps.

When the daylight goes down, the bullet HD surveillance camera has an automatic IR cut filter that activates night vision. The night vision relies on a powerful 850nm infrared (IR) LED, which illuminates up to 20 meters (about 65ft).  

Moreover, the camera has digital noise reduction (DNR) with a high signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) of 62 decibels. When you’ve enabled the DNR feature, the camera will record videos with minimal or no graininess.

As an analog CCTV camera, you can’t use it as a standalone. The camera will need a DVR to process its captured video into a digital format you can playback. Your DVR can be a 720p, 1080p, or 4K model, whether on PAL or NTSC since it supports both signals.
