Description
Undergate cable 2.5mm is used as a lead out cable from your energizer to the fence and for all other insulated high voltage transmissions. It is used with a range of aluminum wires and galvanized earth spikes.
n• Low electrical resistance reducing power and voltage drops over large distances
n• Double insulated
n• Tough polyethylene sheath for abrasion resistance in the ground
n• UV stabilized double insulated cable Black
Key features and uses of 2.5mm undergate cable:
-
Purpose:
Transfers power from the energizer to the fence, including under gates where the fence line is interrupted.
-
Insulation:
Typically has a double-insulated polyethylene sheath for protection against the elements and abrasion resistance.
-
Core:
The 2.5mm refers to the diameter of the inner conductor wire, which is often galvanized steel.
-
Low Resistance:
Designed for minimal voltage drop over longer cable runs.
-
UV Protection:
Some cables are UV stabilized to prevent degradation from sunlight exposure.
-
Typical applications:
Used with a variety of wires and tapes (aluminum, galvanized, poly wires, etc.).
-
Installation:
Recommended to be laid in protective conduit when buried to further enhance protection.
-
Meter Marking:
Some undergate cables come with meter markings for easier cutting to desired lengths.
In essence, undergate cable allows for a continuous electrical fence line even when there are physical barriers like gates, while maintaining the integrity and effectiveness of the electric fence system
