1by1m fire blanket ensures you’re able to tackle a small pan fire safely and quickly but is also suitable for clothing fires too. Supplied in a wipe-clean, soft-pouch case, it’s complete with an eyelet for wall hanging and has printed instructions which are easy to follow.

1by1m fire blanket Description and Use

The fire blanket works by forming an airtight seal over the fire, effectively suffocating the flames. Its lightweight and flexible nature allow for easy handling and draping, even by individuals with limited physical capacity. Ideal environments for use include:

• Domestic kitchens
• Caravans and boats
• Workshops and garages
• Small offices and laboratories

How to Use:

1. Stay calm and if safe to do so, turn off the heat source.
2. Pull the tabs downwards to release the blanket from its container.
3. Protect your hands by rolling the top edge of the blanket over them to form a shield.
4. Carefully place the blanket over the entire fire, starting from the nearest edge to prevent flames from running up the blanket.
5. Do not throw the blanket. Gently pat down the edges to seal in the oxygen.
6. Leave the blanket in place for at least 15-30 minutes to allow the burning materials (especially hot oil/fat) to cool completely below their self-ignition temperature.
7. Evacuate the area and contact emergency services.
