Basic Installation Guide for siren horn 30watt

Most 30W sirens are “self-contained,” meaning they only need a 12V DC power source to trigger the sound.
  1. Choose a Location: Mount the siren as high as possible (e.g., under an eve or top of a stairwell) to keep it out of reach of intruders and ensure the sound isn’t muffled.
  2. Mount the Bracket: Use the included pivoting bracket as a template to mark and drill holes. Secure it to the wall using screws and wall plugs.
  3. Wiring Connections:
    • Standard Wired: Most have three wires. Connect the White wire to Negative (-). For sound selection, connect the Red wire to Positive (+) for a “warble” tone or the Yellow wire to Positive (+) for a “steady” tone.
    • To Alarm Panel: Route the cable to your alarm control panel. Connect the positive and negative leads to the “Bell” or “Siren” output terminals.
  4. Seal and Test: Tighten the pivot screw on the bracket to aim the horn. Use your alarm keypad or a temporary 12V battery to test the volume—wear ear protection as these reach up to 120–130dB.
